They include Sarvodaya from Cuttack ( founded by late Manmohan Chaudhury), Viklapa Vichar (Founded by late Kisan Pattnaik) a periodical on pertinent social issues, Anwesha- a periodical from Sambalpur with quality articles on social and political issues, Manishar Bartabaha Swabhiman a fortnightly from Berhampur on similar issues, Nishan- a periodical from Bhubaneswar on socio-political issues, Charchha- a periodical on social issues, Rudra Ahawan from Bolangir and Gana Istahar from Bargarh and Ban-Tulsi from Kalahandi are also reaching out to villagers in a the region.
